Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Delhi’s air quality is currently at fair stage and has remained at this level for the last 10 years. He told that last year Delhi’s AQI was 380, whereas this year it was recorded at 363. The minister said that pollution is a disease given by them and the same people are opposing it.

He said that success has been achieved in reducing the mountains of garbage in Delhi by 15 meters.
Monitoring in industrial areas: The Environment Minister said that the illegal activities in the industrial areas of Delhi were brought under the purview of the government. DPCC has issued more than 2,000 notices, totaling more than Rs 9 crore. To promote the use of biogas, 10,000 heaters have been provided so far. Strict action has also been taken against diesel generators and so far action has been taken against 3,200 generators.
