New Delhi, November 20 (). Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi is visiting forward posts and reviewing military preparedness. In the last two days, he visited different border areas and inspected the operational capacity.
Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi was present in Northeast India on 18 and 19 November. Here he visited forward military posts. Along with this, he also talked to the military commanders present at the forward posts regarding defense preparations.
On Wednesday, the Army Chief visited the forward posts of Trishakti Corps deployed in the North-Eastern region.
According to the Indian Army, during this time he comprehensively reviewed the military preparedness in the border area and the operational capability of the soldiers deployed here. During his visit, the Army Chief was informed by the formation commanders about the current defense situation and operational preparedness. Along with this, the Army Chief was also given detailed information on major initiatives related to enhancing jointness and integration of technology.
The Army Chief was also apprised about the changing strategic scenario in the region and the military aspects associated with it. Interacting with the troops, General Dwivedi praised their excellent professionalism, discipline and high level of preparedness despite the difficult terrain and adverse weather conditions.
Appreciating the morale of the troops, he stressed the importance of being constantly alert, agile and maintaining constant operational readiness. This visit of the Army Chief underlines the commitment of the Army Headquarters towards the troops deployed in forward areas and efforts to further strengthen military security in the border areas.
It is noteworthy that the Indian Army is using indigenous modern drones for surveillance on border areas and forward military posts. Earlier on Tuesday, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi had assessed these drone systems at the forward posts of Sikkim.
