Ajmer. Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani on Friday inaugurated development works worth more than one crore at various places in Ajmer city. He said that more than Rs 110 crore has been spent on road development in Ajmer. Other development works worth hundreds of crores of rupees have been done. This pace of development will continue.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said that every possible effort will be made to make Ajmer a best and ideal city and for this every citizen will have to fulfill his responsibility. He said that development is a continuous process which has been going on continuously for the last one and a half years and will continue in the coming years also. Devnani was addressing the gathering present at the inauguration of road, drain, drain and security wall construction works in various wards of Ajmer city on Friday. He said that in ward number 72 and 73, construction of drain in Anand Nagar and Vikaspuri area at a cost of about Rs 21.55 lakh and construction of road from community hall in Kailashpuri to Vijay Mathur’s house and in front of Hillview School has been started. Apart from this, the construction work of drain and security wall was started from Cineworld intersection to Bandi river crossing under Ward No. 3 in Cineworld intersection, Ajmer. Its total cost is Rs 88.70 lakh. Road construction work was also started in Banjara Basti located in Ward 3 at a cost of Rs 7.30 lakh. In this way, development works worth more than one crore rupees were inaugurated and started.
Devnani said that so far construction work of roads has been done in Ajmer North Assembly constituency at a cost of more than Rs 110 crore. He said that construction of drains and drains along with roads is equally important. In this sequence, drains are being constructed in Ajmer North area at a cost of about Rs 60 crore. This will provide a permanent solution to the drainage problem. He said that there will be no compromise on quality in development works.
Referring to the reforms being made in the medical sector, he said that Speaker Help Desk has been started in Jawahar Lal Nehru Hospital to help the patients. About 12 thousand patients have benefited from this so far. He said that financial approval is being given continuously for the construction of Medical College in Ajmer and financial approval of Rs 200 crore has been issued for the construction of Super Specialty Block. With this, treatment of serious diseases will now be possible in Ajmer only.
Devnani said that the construction work of satellite hospital located in Kotra is in progress. Currently being operated temporarily. Planned work is also being done to solve the drinking water problem. To ensure uninterrupted power supply, gas based GSS will be established in Hathibhata area.
To promote tourism, works like Science Park, Planetarium, Leopard Safari for eco-tourism and installation of the statue of Varun Dev under beautification of Varun Sagar are being done in the city. IT Park has been established with the aim of providing employment opportunities to the youth.
New colleges and schools are also being opened in the education sector. Funds have been sanctioned for Sainik School and Gandhi Bhawan Library is being expanded for the study of students. Shri Devnani told that a bill related to Ayurveda University is also going to be passed in the assembly session.
He said the names of symbols of slavery were changed to enhance national pride and strengthen the cultural identity of the city. He called upon the public to contribute towards building a better Ajmer while remaining dedicated to eternal values.
