If you are planning to complete any important banking work in the coming days, then this news is very important for you. Before leaving home, check whether the banks in your city are closed or not. In fact, five consecutive days of bank holidays are starting from tomorrow. If you do not complete your work today, i.e. on 27th February, then you may have to wait for a long time. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has already made it clear that banks will remain closed in different parts of the country due to Holi and weekends. Let us know the complete details of bank holidays…

Banks will remain closed for the next five days
Bank holidays are starting from tomorrow, i.e. 28th February. Tomorrow is the fourth Saturday of the month, hence banks across the country will remain closed. After this the month of March will start. This year, the first day of March, March 1, is a Sunday holiday, so banks will remain closed on that day also. After this, bank holidays will start in different states due to the festival of Holi from March 2. If you reach the bank without prior information, you may face difficulties.

When and where will banks be closed on Holi?
This time there is some confusion regarding Holi. However, there are Holi holidays on March 2, 3 and 4 in the RBI holiday list.
On March 2, the day of Holika Dahan, only banks in Lucknow and Kanpur will remain closed, while banks across the rest of the country will remain open.
On March 3, banks will remain closed in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Patna and Kolkata for Dhulandi and Dola Yatra.
Due to the festival of Holi on March 4, banks will remain completely closed in most of the cities of the country like Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Ranchi and Lucknow.
These bank holidays are not the same across the country, so be sure to check the list of bank holidays in your city.

While bank branches will remain closed, there is no need to worry as digital and online services like mobile banking, net banking and UPI will remain operational 24 hours. You can transfer money or check your balance anytime. There will also be a facility to withdraw money from ATM, so that you will not face any problem in cash transactions.
