Bengaluru Police sent notice to Harish Bairappa, said- people should not face any problem during the program

Bengaluru, May 24 (). Bengaluru’s SJ Park Police has issued a notice to Harish Bairappa over a social media post shared with the name ‘Cockroach Party’ regarding the proposed human chain protest near Town Hall in Bengaluru.

Police said the notice was issued as a precautionary measure ahead of the planned peaceful protest, citing concerns that a large gathering in a busy area could cause serious traffic jams, hamper ambulance movement and inconvenience daily commuters.

Officials said that due to roadside protests, programs scheduled through prior booking at nearby indoor venues may be affected. In view of public safety and traffic management issues, police advised not to create any obstruction in the area.

It was said by the police that Town Hall is an important junction and there is traffic jam there, hence you have said that a large number of people will come to the awareness program you are organizing. You haven’t limited the invitation, so as many people as you want can come. In such a situation, the public, vehicles and ambulances will face problems on the road.

Police advised that it is better to conduct the awareness campaign inside the Town Hall. If booking is made in the Town Hall, then after reviewing it and taking a decision, necessary steps will be taken.

Let us tell you that except Freedom Park, there is a ban on protests, strikes, processions, meetings, ceremonies and awareness campaigns everywhere else in Bangalore. On behalf of the police, it was said that the notice has been issued to inform that this order should not be violated.
