As part of the campaign against corruption in Rajasthan, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has taken another major action. This time the action was taken in Didwana-Kuchaman district, where the Assistant Registrar of the Cooperative Society Department was arrested red handed while taking bribe.
The special unit of Anti Corruption Bureau Rajasthan, Ajmer conducted this trap operation. The arrested officer was posted on the post of Peethdan Charan, Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies. In this action taken in Didwana-Kuchaman, the accused was caught on the spot while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
It is alleged that the concerned officer had demanded a bribe in exchange for a decision in his favor in the case of a notice issued to a complainant. After receiving the complaint, the ACB first verified the case and planned a trap if the complaint was found to be true.
During this action taken on the instructions of ACB Headquarters, as soon as the bribe amount was exchanged, the team immediately raided and arrested the accused. ACB officials say that there will be no laxity at any level in corruption cases and such campaigns will be continued in future also.
