Jodhpur. A serious case of playing with medical systems and the lives of patients has come to light in the Satellite Hospital located in Paota, Jodhpur. A video going viral on social media has exposed the claims of the hospital administration and government orders. It is clearly visible in the video that in the absence of experienced doctors or staff in the hospital, the nursing students practicing are treating the patients alone.
The viral video is said to be from last night. According to the video, no senior doctor or permanent staff of the hospital was present on the spot to treat the patients in the emergency or ward. The entire responsibility was left to the nursing students who were just undergoing training. There is a risk of serious accidents occurring at any time if students administer injections and first aid without the supervision of an expert. The surprising thing is that in the month of April itself, clear orders were issued by the department that nursing students will not be made to do any work without supervision. Despite this, on the night of May 1 itself, these orders were seen being openly flouted. This laxity of the hospital administration has disregarded the strict rules of the government.
After the video went viral, there is huge anger among the local people and social media users. People say that poor patients from far away places come to the satellite hospital for treatment, but the negligence of the administration is putting them in danger. Now it remains to be seen what action is taken against the responsible officials and guilty hospital staff after this video surfaced.
