Ahead of the Panchayat and Municipal Corporation elections in Rajasthan, BJP has started efforts to strengthen its political base. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will talk to 117 BJP officials of Sikar district today. Various issues of the district will be discussed in the meeting.
Issues like formation of Municipal Corporation in Sikar, green signal to Nani Bir Drainage Project, canal water and new master plan for Shikshanagari are expected to be included in the meeting. Present District President Manoj Batad, outgoing District President Dr. Kamal Sekhil, State Officer, State Officer of Morcha, Department Incharge, Department Co-Incharge, District Incharge, District Officer, Mandal President and District President of Morcha will be included.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had also talked to prominent leaders of all the eight assembly constituencies. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister has recently started a dialogue program to collect ground level information through organization officials. Under this, there is a plan to discuss with the officials of Sikar district on Saturday.
These issues will be discussed in the meeting.
1. Disposal of Nani Beed water: This problem of Education City has also been raised in the Assembly. The Chief Minister had announced this project during his visit to Sikar. However, the work has not started yet. Because of this, BJP officials may demand completion of this project before the Municipal Corporation and Panchayat elections.
2. Canal water: Even after the Yamuna water agreement, political debate continues on non-approval of DPR. For this reason, local representatives will discuss the project. A strategy will be made to raise this issue again before the next elections. Rajya Sabha member Tiwari raised this issue on Friday.
3. Sikar Division and Municipal Corporation: During the previous government, Sikar was given the status of division and Neemkathana was given the status of district. However, after the government’s review, the decision to make Sikar division and Neemkathana a district was cancelled. In such a situation, a proposal for declaration of Municipal Corporation will also be presented by the local organization officials.
4. Unity and ticket distribution: In this meeting, suggestions are expected on strengthening organizational unity, upcoming programs, taking big schemes of the government to the grassroots level and ticket distribution. Many officials also plan to tell the government about the innovations in the departments.
Among the former district presidents, only Shikhwal got a chance.
The organizational meeting was expected to be attended by district presidents who have led the party in the last ten years. But, in Sikar district only former district president of the party, Dr. Kamal Shikhwal, got this opportunity. Sources say that if the last three or four district presidents had been called in this important meeting, the issues of the district could have been discussed in more detail and in depth. Meanwhile, nine public representatives have been called to the Chief Minister’s office at 12:30 pm on Sunday. It is discussed that the feedback received from the officials of the organization will also be discussed along with these public representatives.
