New Delhi, 23 September (). BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday made a serious charge against the Congress party of ‘corporate brokerage’ and depositing Indian money in foreign banks.
Describing the Congress as ‘the contractor to sell the country’, he questioned the party’s senior leader Jairam Ramesh whether he had taken this responsibility?
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday shared some documents on social media platform X and questioned Rahul Gandhi and Jairam Ramesh.
He wrote on X, “Congress party’s story of depositing the ‘Corporate brokerage’ and ‘Indian money’ in Switzerland banks, Rahul Gandhi, your words, on 19 March 1985, when Rajiv Gandhi was Prime Minister and Vishwanath Pratap Singh Finance Minister, about 3.5 lakh US dollars (more than Rs 3 crore) were confirmed from two persons (Amin Sahab and Nanavati) at Mumbai Airport near Amin Sahab (Nanavati) at around Rs 3 crore today. Singh had clarified in the Lok Sabha that this money belongs to Murugesh Jaikrishna. “
The BJP MP claimed that Jaikrishna was a Congress worker in Gujarat, who gave 65 lakh rupees to 65 people in the Gujarat assembly elections, gave 50 acres of land in Ahmedabad for just 1 rupee and built the entire game village for the 1982 Asian Games.
He alleged that Murugesh Jaikrishna, who was the Chairman of the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation and the Gujarat Verient Corporation, was given a loan by the bank from ‘phone banking’, while 16 textile mills were being closed due to lack of funds.
Nishikant Dubey also questioned Jairam Ramesh, calling it a symbol of the ‘corporate brokerage’ of the Congress. He said, “You guys have taken the contract to sell the country?”
