Beijing, July 21 (). The Ministry of Water Resources of China has recently released the ‘Overall Plan for the Development of Water Conservancy Remote Sensing Satellite Applications (2026–2035)’.
According to this plan, China will effectively expand its satellite resources by carrying out the development of four major systems, including water protection remote sensing satellite resources, data resources, operational applications, and technical parameters, in a coordinated manner.
By 2030, a water conservation remote sensing satellite application system covering the main business areas will be initially established.
By 2035, a comprehensive water conservation remote sensing satellite application system will be basically ready. Sub-meter resolution imaging coverage will be significantly increased, further improving the ability to rapidly monitor major water conservation emergencies.
