New Delhi, October 20 (). The special festival of Diwali was celebrated with pomp and joy all over the world including India. On this occasion, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Foreign Minister Anita Anand greeted the people.

External Affairs Minister Anita Anand wrote, “In my life, one of the most special moments of the year has been Diwali celebrated with my family, and it is a celebration of light over darkness and good over evil. My family wishes you a very happy Diwali.”
It is noteworthy that Anita Anand, who is the first Hindu woman Foreign Minister of Canada, had recently visited India. Last week he participated in various high-level meetings during his two-day official visit.
She met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The Prime Minister welcomed External Affairs Minister Anand and noted that his visit will contribute to the ongoing efforts to provide new impetus to the India-Canada bilateral partnership.
The Prime Minister recalled his visit to Canada for the G-7 Summit in June this year, during which he had a very productive meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney. The Prime Minister had talked about the importance of growing cooperation between the two countries in trade, energy, technology, agriculture and people-to-people relations.
