CBFC Cut 18 Scenes From Welcome To The Jungle: Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited multi-starrer comedy film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has got the green signal from the Censor Board (CBFC). According to a report by Variety India, the Censor Board passed the film with a U/A 16+ certificate. But the film had to make 18 changes for this.
Scissors on bikini scenes and hip movements
The Censor Board has expressed objection to the bold and sensual scenes of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez in one of the most talked about songs of the film. The censor board has ordered complete removal of bikini-clad visuals, close-up shots of women’s hips and sensual hip movements from the song. Also, an indecent hand gesture present in the film has been removed and a close-up shot of Vindu Dara Singh has been replaced in its place.
Changes also made in Kashmir reference and military terms
The Censor Board has been asked to make major changes not only in the songs of the film but also in the script and dialogues of the film.
1. First of all, a major reference to Kashmir has been completely deleted from the film.
2. We have made improvements related to military terminology.
3. At many places the word blind was changed to loose.
4. Some controversial dialogues in the film were also re-watched so that no one’s sentiments are hurt.
Despite so many cuts the film is very long
It is often seen that if so many cuts and scenes are deleted from the film, then the length of the film becomes shorter. But this did not happen with the film Welcome to the Jungle. Despite 18 cuts and editing, the final run time of the film is 2 hours, 44 minutes and 50 seconds. This clearly shows that the audience will get a lot of entertainment in the film.
Akshay Kumar’s film Welcome to the Jungle is a dark comedy film. More than 30 actors like Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt will be seen in it. Now it remains to be seen how well this cut film will do at the box office after its theatrical release on June 26.
