Challenge to Congress to fight alone in BMC, let's see how many seats it gets: Anand Dubey

Mumbai, November 16 (). Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey, in a special conversation with , gave a sharp reaction to Congress’s desire to contest the BMC elections alone, Farooq Abdullah’s statement on ‘Operation Sindoor’ and Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya’s decision to leave the family-party.

On Congress’s intention to contest the BMC elections alone in Mumbai, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey said that Congress is a big and old party. If he wants to contest the elections alone, good luck. Fought with RJD in Bihar and got only six seats. Fight here also and see how many seats you get. Shiv Sena has been in power in Mumbai BMC for the last 30 years and the roots of the party are very strong. He reminded that in 2017, Shiv Sena had maintained its lead in BMC by winning two more seats against BJP.

He said that Congress is our friend, we would like to fight together. In Maharashtra, BJP also used to contest elections sitting on our shoulders. This time we will defeat everyone including BJP and only our flag will wave in BMC. He advised Congress to introspect as to why it was losing in many states.

On the results of Bihar elections, Anand Dubey said that in politics there is either defeat or victory. Before 2014, there was Congress government. Now BJP’s time is going on, that’s why they are winning. This does not mean that Congress is losing everywhere. Congress and Grand Alliance also win in many states. We have to make a strategy.

When asked about Farooq Abdullah’s statement on ‘Operation Sindoor’, Dubey said that Farooq Abdullah is a senior and wise leader. If there is a blast in Delhi or accidents in Kashmir despite ‘Operation Sindoor’, then everyone’s wish is that Pakistan should be destroyed. The destruction of Pakistan is necessary. It is not just Farooq Abdullah, we too are saying this.

On Rohini Acharya leaving Lalu family and party, Anand Dubey said that there is turmoil in Lalu family these days. After Tej Pratap, now Rohini’s case has come to light. When there are different mindsets in the family, the family becomes weak and its effect was also visible in the election results. He further said that we want this dispute to end soon and everything will be fine.
