Chandigarh. Promoting the refereeing and game conduct standards of Combat Sports (Martial Arts) in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, two leading technical officers of Chandigarh, Parminder Singh and Vandana have successfully completed the prestigious “National Penchak Silat Referees, Jury and Coaches Technical Seminar 2026” held at Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir). This four-day intensive national level event was organized by the Indian Penchak Silat Federation from 16 May to 19 May 2026 at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar. This high-profile seminar was moderated by the Chief Instructor and Judge of the Federation along with a specially invited international expert from Indonesia, Madam Titih Hayati. The seminar was attended by top coaches and technical experts from across India, where they were trained in advanced international scoring systems, modern jury rules and state-of-the-art refereeing protocols.
The participation of Parminder Singh and Vandana in this prestigious national seminar is a major step towards enhancing the technical excellence of martial arts in Chandigarh. After undergoing rigorous training under international level guidance, these two certified officials are now all set to implement the new international rules in regional and state level competitions. This will help local players to reach national and international platforms.
After the successful completion of the technical seminar, these officials from Chandigarh have returned and will now share this advanced technical knowledge with the local sports fraternity and players.
