Jodhpur. Under the Chief Minister Mangala Animal Insurance Scheme 2025-26, insurance activities took place enthusiastically and successfully in Jodhpur district on Saturday, the sixth day. In view of the scheme, camps were organized on a large scale in the district today, giving top priority to the economic protection of cattle herders and livestock safety. Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Sanjay Vyas said that 36 camps were successfully organized in Jodhpur district today, in which a large number of animal farmers participated. During the day long campaign, insurance work for 1742 animals was done so far and 529 policies were issued. Active participation of cattle herders in insurance work
Vyas said that the presence of cattle herders in the camps organized was remarkable. The insurance work of animals was completed smoothly on the principle of first come, first serve. Due to transparency in the insurance process, quick registration and Jan Aadhaar based verification, insurance activities continued to be conducted at a fast pace.
Commendable efforts of departmental teams and surveyors
At the district level, teams of Animal Husbandry Department, Insurance Company and BSF Company worked actively at the camp sites. As a result of continuous efforts by departmental veterinarians and surveyors, excellent progress was recorded as per the target on the first day.
