Bikaner. State Chief Secretary V. Srinivas on Tuesday visited the ancient museum located in the historical Junagarh Fort and got to know the rich art, culture and historical splendor of Bikaner closely. During this, he made a deep observation of the royal heritage, ancient objects, weapons, paintings and heritage related to folk culture displayed in the museum and appreciated its historical importance. On this occasion, former Bikaner MLA Siddhi Kumari welcomed the Chief Secretary and gave detailed information about the history, architecture of Junagadh Fort and Ancient Museum and the glorious traditions of Bikaner royal family. He said that Prachina Museum preserves the cultural heritage of Bikaner and is a major center of attraction for tourists coming from India and abroad. Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, while appreciating the efforts being made towards the conservation and tourism development of the historical heritage preserved in the museum, said that the cultural heritage of Rajasthan has its own unique identity at the world level. He said that such historical heritages help in connecting the new generation with our glorious history.
During this, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Shailja Pandey, SDM Bikaner Mahima Kasana, Joint Director of Tourism Department Anil Rathod, Mahesh Vyas, Pawan Sharma, Gopal Joshi and other officials were present.
