Beijing, October 22 (). Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wanthao had a phone conversation with Vincent Karemans, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands, upon invitation. Both sides exchanged views on issues like semiconductor company Nexperia etc.
Wang said that China attaches great importance to the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. The action taken by the Netherlands towards Nexperia has a serious impact on the stability of global production and supply chains.
China urges the Netherlands to settle the related issue as soon as possible in the contractual spirit and adhere to market and law principles, from the perspective of global production and supply chain stability, to safeguard the legitimate interests of Chinese investors and create a fair, transparent and forward-looking trade environment.
Karemans said that the Netherlands attaches great importance to the economic and trade relations between the two countries. The Netherlands is ready to find constructive solutions to the Nexperia question by having closer contacts with China.
