Sonipat. A horrific road accident took place on Sunday morning on National Highway-44 passing through Sonipat, Haryana, in which two trucks and a Fortuner car collided with each other. According to the information received, the tire of a truck returning from Ghaziabad carrying Amul milk suddenly got punctured. The driver stopped the truck in the middle of the road to handle the situation. Meanwhile, another truck and a Fortuner car coming from behind collided with the parked truck. The collision was so strong that both the trucks were badly damaged and the front part of the Fortuner was also completely shattered. In this accident, the conductor of a truck died on the spot, while the other drivers and conductors were taken out safely by the relief and rescue team after a lot of effort. The injured persons were sent to the nearest hospital for first aid, where their condition is said to be stable.
After the accident, there was a long traffic jam on the road from Panipat to Delhi. To control the situation, the traffic police immediately reached the spot and took charge to smooth the traffic. The police gradually started normalizing the traffic by removing the damaged vehicles.
Police officials said that the accident happened near Sector-7 flyover on Panipat-Delhi road, after which there was chaos in the area and traffic was disrupted. After removing the truck and Fortuner from the road, the traffic system was opened.
Efforts are being made to find out the exact reason from the CCTV footage installed nearby. People nearby told that the truck was standing in the middle of the road when it was hit from behind by another truck and a Fortuner.
Police said that the family members of the conductor of a truck who lost his life in the accident have been informed, while the driver who parked the truck on the way is being interrogated so that the correct information about the case can be obtained.
