Jaipur. Chief Secretary V. Srinivas reviewed the progress of PM Vishwakarma Yojana at the Government Secretariat on Monday. The Chief Secretary appreciated the efforts being made in Rajasthan for the implementation of this scheme. He said that till January 1, 2026, loans worth Rs 466.70 crore have been distributed by banks to 53,552 people in the state.
The Chief Secretary directed that the problems being faced in sanctioning loans should be resolved by holding a meeting with the concerned banks, so that loans can be made available to more and more people. Also, took information about the problems faced in tool kit distribution, loan sanctioning and training by banks and instructed all the concerned officers to work in coordination. It was told in the meeting that Rajasthan ranks second in the country in loan approval and distribution under PM Vishwakarma Yojana. The state’s average loan ticket size is Rs 87,000, which is higher than the national average of Rs 83,000. Rajasthan state ranks third in the country in the field of toolkit distribution and training of artisans. Rajasthan state ranks first in terms of number of successful registrations in goldsmith, hammer and toolkit maker, potter and sculptor trades. Artisans from the state have been linked to e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Meesho and Fab India and Dilli Haat and railway stations for offline marketing.
The Chief Secretary said that discussions were held regarding giving loans to the deprived beneficiaries of PM Vishwakarma Yojana under the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme of the state government.
Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department Shikhar Agarwal, Commissioner, Industries and Commerce Department Suresh Ola along with Director MSME, Government of India, Pradeep Ojha and other officials were present in the meeting.
