Congress has had a friendly match with the British: Pratul Shah Dev

Ranchi. BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev questioned the contribution of Congress in the country’s independence. He claimed that Congress did not contribute anything to the country’s independence, rather these people were playing a friendly match with the British. While talking to news agency on Friday, he said that when Pandit Nehru was in jail, his jail itself used to have three-four rooms. His clothes used to go to Paris to be washed. If we leave aside the ‘Quit India’ movement of 1942, these people did not carry out any major movement till independence. After this these people joined hands with the British. BJP spokesperson said that if Lala Lajpat Rai of Congress is left out, then please tell me the name of any one Congress leader who has made a major contribution to the independence of the country. The truth is that till date these people have not made any contribution to the independence of the country. On the contrary, these men were playing friendly matches given the sensitivity of their position with the English.
He said that the Congress people had also taken oath expressing their faith in Queen Victoria. What patriotism can you expect from these people? The truth is that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru worked under the Cabinet Mission. His only aim was to become the Prime Minister after the independence of the country. These people have not contributed in any way to the independence of the country.
He said that Congress people repeatedly claim that we have made a big contribution to the independence of the country, so my simple question is why Mountbatten remained the Viceroy of India even after the country got independence in 1947, whereas by law he should have been removed from the post immediately after the country got independence.
He said that my simple question is that even after the country got independence in 1947, why did an Englishman remain the General of the Indian Army, that too for five years. The limit has been reached with the Navy. The post of General of the Navy was under British rule for five years, so keeping all these points in mind, it would not be wrong to say that Congress has a long standing relationship with the British.
