Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has said that with the expansion of technology in the digital age, new challenges of cyber crime have also emerged. Awareness among citizens is the most effective shield to prevent this. He said that cyber security is our collective resolve and to fulfill this resolve, the government, judiciary and society will have to work together.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the three-day national conference organized on the theme ‘Cyber Security – Awareness, Protection and Inclusive Access to Justice’ at Rajasthan International Center (RIC) on Friday. Sharma said that our government is taking concrete steps to control cyber crime. Our government has ensured strict action against cyber criminals and put them behind bars under the Operation Anti Virus campaign. Besides, Rajasthan Cyber Crime Control Center (RFC) is being established to control and prevent cyber crimes in the state. While announcing, he said that a special cyber court will be established in the state for strict control on cyber crime.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India vision has brought positive changes in the lives of the common people. Now common citizens are connecting with banking, crop insurance, pension and judicial processes through digital medium. He said that the e-court portal, hearing through video conferencing and online complaint system have made the justice process more transparent and justice has become quick and accessible to the people of remote areas. He said that the digital justice system has become a powerful medium to provide relief to the last person of the society.
The Chief Minister said that the three new laws implemented by the Central Government are being effectively implemented in Rajasthan also. Through these new laws, our state has become one of the fastest delivering justice states in the country. The aim of our government is that there is no place for any criminal on the soil of Rajasthan. Along with this, innovations are also being made in legal processes. In this direction, e-courts are being expanded rapidly. Appreciating the role of jurists and legal experts, he said that with their experience and your guidance, this conference will prove helpful in strengthening cyber security and bringing positive changes in the society.
Earlier, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant said that the digital revolution has provided immense facilities and has made governance, services and communication more accessible than ever before. But its misuse creates challenges. In such a situation, cyber security has become not only a matter of protecting bank accounts but also a matter of protecting institutional trust. He expressed confidence that the judiciary will leave no stone unturned in playing its role so that this menace can be eliminated from the country.
He said that no judicial process like “digital arrest” exists. This is a complete case of fraud. He said that to ensure long-term cyber security, civic education will have to be considered an essential part and for this all institutions will have to work together as coordinated partners.
The Chief Justice said that since childhood, we have always said ‘think before speaking, act after understanding’. Have heard a lesson. In the digital world, where decisions are taken in a single click and harm can happen in the blink of an eye, this simple discipline becomes a means of protection. He said that cyber security is basically a modern form of the same ancient intelligence, which includes acting with awareness and taking precautions.
The Chief Justice expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for announcing the establishment of Cyber Court in Rajasthan. Also, he appreciated the innovations of Rajasthan High Court and State Legal Services Authority and said that the State Legal Services Authority is not limited to just advice but is developing the institutional framework. He said that justice is real only when it is accessible.
On this occasion, Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority launched online mediation and Lok Adalat platform e-Samadhan, released handbook on mediation and launched “Mahila Panchayat Pan Rajasthan”, along with this, Legal Services Ready Reckoner 2026, legal awareness campaign in schools, and cyber awareness handbook will be released. In the inaugural ceremony, awards were also given to disabled children, winners of sports competitions organized under the “Sports for Awareness – Udaan 2.0” programme.
At the beginning of the program, Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court, Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, in his welcome address, highlighted the innovations of RALSA and pointed out the need for coordinated efforts of the judiciary, government and society for cyber security.
On this occasion, Supreme Court judges Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Justice Prasanna Bhalchandra Varale, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Rajasthan Law and Legal Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel and other public representatives, officials, judges and legal experts were present.
