‘Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story’: On the occasion of Sourav Ganguly’s birthday, the first poster of ‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ was released today, making this day even more special for millions of fans around the world.
Along with releasing the poster, the makers have also announced the theatrical release date of the film – the film will release on a long weekend on 14th May 2027.
The official first-look poster shows Rajkummar Rao reliving the memorable moment of Sourav Ganguly hoisting his jersey on the Lord’s balcony after India’s historic NatWest Trophy win over England in 2002. This celebration is considered an important picture; It became a symbol of a fearless new era of Indian cricket under Ganguly’s captaincy and is still a memorable symbol of confidence, outspokenness and trust.
‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ traces the extraordinary journey of the man who not only played the game but also changed it. Following his journey from a talented young cricketer to becoming one of India’s most influential captains, the film celebrates the courage, strength and determination that redefined Indian cricket and inspired an entire generation.
‘Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story’ is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series and DBL and is a Luv Films production. The film will be released in theaters worldwide on 14 May 2027.
