Discussion on strengthening India-US trade relations, emphasis on $ 500 billion target by 2030

New Delhi. An important discussion took place on further strengthening trade and investment relations between India and America. Both the countries have emphasized on the target of increasing bilateral trade to 500 billion dollars by 2030. US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore, while sharing the information on the social media platform ‘X’, said, “Had an excellent discussion with the Board on advancing US-India trade and investment relations. We are focused on a clear goal: growing US-India trade to $500 billion by 2030. American companies operating in India are promoting US exports, expanding trade, attracting investments and further enhancing the strength of our partnership.” Earlier, Ambassador Sergio Gore had told that an Indian trade delegation is going to visit Washington soon regarding India-US trade relations. This is an important step towards finalizing the trade agreement between the two countries.
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore said, “The Indian trade delegation will arrive in Washington. This is a major step towards finalizing our bilateral trade agreement. It is a win-win deal for both countries.”
Earlier, even after completing 100 days of his tenure, he had talked about rapid progress in relations between India and America.
Gore highlighted the importance of strengthening trade agreements, defense cooperation and strategic partnerships as well as work towards including India in ‘Pax Silica’.
Sergio Gore said that from pursuing a major US-India trade agreement, to welcoming India into ‘Pax Silica’, to strengthening defense cooperation and connecting with government and business leaders, our momentum is clear.
