Order to fill superdari bond of ₹80 lakh; Jewelery will have to be returned to the locker by 16th February
Chandigarh. Accused Paramjeet Kaur has got a big relief from the special CBI court of Chandigarh in the disproportionate assets (DA Case) case. The court has granted permission to temporarily use the jewelery sealed in the bank locker for 15 days on the occasion of his nephew’s marriage. Permission granted with conditions
Special Judge Bhavna Jain, while hearing the application, clarified that the jewelery can be used only for the wedding ceremonies to be held on 8 and 10 February 2026. The court has also imposed strict conditions to ensure security and transparency:
Financial Security: The accused will have to deposit a temporary ‘Superdari Bond’ (with one surety) of ₹80 lakh in the court.
Time Limit: It will be mandatory to return the jewelery back to the bank locker by 16th February 2026.
Prohibition: There will be a complete ban on selling, transferring, changing the appearance or tampering of any kind with jewellery.
Locker will open in presence of CBI
The court has directed that the bank locker will be opened only in the direct presence of the CBI investigating officer (IO). To maintain transparency of this entire process:
Detailed photography and videography of the jewelery will be done.
A separate memo (list) of jewelery will be prepared, which will become a permanent part of the court record.
After the jewelery is deposited back, the bank locker will remain frozen as before.

Paramjeet Kaur is facing investigation in the disproportionate assets case, under which her bank lockers were attached by the CBI. Citing a marriage in the family, he had appealed to leave these jewelery temporarily. The court has disposed of this application with conditions on humanitarian grounds.
