Kolkata . The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the draft voter list for West Bengal under the Special Intensive Revision Process 2026. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said that the draft electoral roll has been published on Tuesday. Now the voters of the state have been given the opportunity to check their names and make necessary corrections. According to the Election Commission, the period for filing claims and objections on the draft voter list has been fixed from 16 December to 15 January 2026. During this time, if any voter’s name is not in the list, is wrongly recorded or any other type of correction is required, then he can apply. After this, the notice stage i.e. the process of hearing and verification will run from 16 December to 7 February 2026. The final voter list will be published on 14 February 2026 after settlement of all claims and objections.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has appealed to the citizens to check their names in the draft voter list in time. Voters can check their names from the voter list available with the Booth Level Officer (BLO), through the ECInet mobile app, on the official website of the Election Commission or from the website of CEO West Bengal and District Electoral Officer (DEO).
If the name of any citizen is not included in the draft voter list then he will have to apply by filling Form-6. It is mandatory to attach necessary documents and Annexure-4 with it. Application can be submitted online or through BLO.
At the same time, Indian voters living abroad can register through Form-6A. Provision has also been made for Form-7 for removing names from the voter list and Form-8 for correction in details.
