Chandigarh. All India Congress Committee General Secretary, CWC member, former Union Minister and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja said that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi had already warned the country that the coming times would be full of crises, but the BJP government focused only on event management and publicity instead of solving the problems of the people. Today, the common people in the country are facing problems on every front like education, electricity, water, petrol-diesel and gas. Kumari Selja said that incidents like NEET paper leak are not just irregularities in the examination but an attack on the dreams of lakhs of youth of the country. The incident of suicide of Pradeep Meghwal, a student of Sikar, Rajasthan is very sad and worrying. A poor family who took a loan for their son’s education found their future ruined by paper leak mafias. The Congress party stands strongly with the victim’s family and demands strict action against the culprits. The MP said that the BJP government has completely failed to provide a safe and transparent examination system to the youth. The education system is being handed over to the mafia and the government remains a mere spectator. Responsibility for this serious failure should be fixed and the Education Minister should resign on moral grounds. Kumari Selja said that as soon as the elections are over, the BJP government has started increasing the burden of inflation on the public. Farmers, labourers, middle class and small traders are being badly affected by the continuous increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. Due to diesel becoming expensive, the prices of agriculture, transportation and everyday items are being directly affected.
The MP said that power crisis and water crisis are becoming serious in many states including Haryana. People in villages and cities are suffering from long hours of power cuts and lack of drinking water, but the government does not have any concrete plan. The rising prices of LPG have completely ruined the budget of women and poor families. Kumari Selja said that the BJP government has given the country only the politics of announcements and publicity, whereas the Congress party has always fought strongly for public issues. The Congress Party will continue the struggle from streets to Parliament to protect the rights of youth, farmers, laborers and common citizens.
