Bikaner. Bikaner’s renowned educationist and historian Professor Dr. Aminuddin Qazi (1931-2026), who considered work as worship and lit the lamp of knowledge throughout his life, passed away after a long illness. The news of his demise caused a wave of mourning in the entire education world and the city. During the funeral rites on Saturday, thousands of teachers, intellectuals and dignitaries from all religions and castes joined the funeral procession and bid him farewell with tearful eyes. Dr. Qazi’s funeral procession was carried by his sons Iftekharuddin Qazi and Imtiazuddin Qazi, and grandsons Dr. Akhiyar Qazi and Azim Qazi. Former mayor Haji Maqsood Ahmed, who gave free education to three generations and an example of simple life and high thinking, while presenting the tribute said that Dr. Aminuddin Qazi was such a unique personality, who not only taught the subject of history, but also brought it into the lives of generations. He gave education the form of service in the true sense by providing free education to the students for three consecutive generations. In his life journey, he guided hundreds of researchers, IAS/RAS officers and many public representatives. His personality was a living example of ‘simple living and high thinking’.
Veteran politicians expressed deep condolences
On the demise of Dr. Aminuddin, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Bikaner MP and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal called his son and expressed their deep condolences. Both the leaders said that today we have lost not only a great historian but also an ascetic teacher and a true seeker.
At the same time, former cabinet minister Dr. B.D. Kalla said that his unprecedented services in the field of education will always be remembered. Former minister Govind Ram Meghwal said that his only aim was to share knowledge selflessly.
Crowd gathered at the funeral
Renowned educationists Dr. Bithal Bissa and Dr. Brijartan Joshi said that today Bikaner has lost one of its priceless gems. A large number of people including senior BJP leaders Nand Kishore Solanki, Ghulam Mustafa Babu Bhai, Sajid Sulemani, Dr. Mohammad Farooq Chauhan attended the funeral to bid farewell to Dr. Qazi.
Kul Ki Fatiha on Sunday: According to family sources, ‘Kul Ki Fatiha’ of late Dr. Aminuddin Qazi has been kept at Jama Masjid located in Mohalla Traders on Sunday (May 24) at 8:30 am.
