Noida. 24-year-old female lawyer Preeti, resident of Sector-105, Noida Sector-39 police station area, committed suicide by hanging herself. Police station Sector-39 got information about the incident through a memo from a private hospital. It was told that the family members found Preeti hanging in the room and immediately brought her down and took her to the hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and interrogated the family members. The family of the deceased told that Preeti was in a love affair with Abhipray Singh (aged 34) for the last two years. Abhipray is also a lawyer by profession and used to work in the same office with Preeti.
According to family members, Preeti alleged that Abhipray had promised to marry her, but now he was refusing to marry her. Under this stress, Preeti took the drastic step of suicide.
The field unit of the police inspected the spot and took the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The post mortem report is awaited.
At the same time, the family members gave a written complaint (Tahrir) against the accused Abhipray, on the basis of which the police have registered a case.
Police station Sector-39 has taken accused Abhipray Singh into custody and he is being interrogated. Police say that the entire matter is being investigated seriously. The family says that Preeti was under a lot of stress for some time and was troubled by Abhipraya’s words. At present the police is engaged in further action as per the legal process.
