Jaipur. Election Commissioner Rajeshwar Singh said that the final publication of the voter list for the municipal elections-2026 has been done on Wednesday. Voter lists of 195 out of 309 local bodies in the state have been published. The program of voter list of remaining 113 local bodies is going on separately.
He said that a total of 1,13,29,913 voters were included in the draft list published on February 20, 2026. After the publication of the draft list, 2,27,879 new voters were added, while names of 5,49,916 voters were deleted. After this, a total of 1,10,07,876 voters have been registered in the final publication. He said that this final voter list published in 195 municipal bodies of the state includes 56,57,921 men, 53,49,578 women and 377 transgender voters.
The State Election Commissioner said that compared to the draft list, there has been a decrease of 3,22,037 voters in the final list, which is approximately 2.90 percent (negative). At the district level, a decrease of 16.9 percent has been recorded in Jodhpur and 11.50 percent in Udaipur, while an increase of 2.50 percent has been seen in Barmer and 2.40 percent in Nagaur.
6,485 wards of municipal bodies and 12,198 polling stations have been created in 39 districts of the state.
