An FIR has been registered against five people, including Ambi Bisht, the mother of Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission Deputy Chairman Aparna Yadav, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This FIR is associated with the 2016 Jankipuram land scam. Along with Ambi Bisht, the then section officer of LDA, Virendra Singh, Deputy Secretary Devendra Singh Rathore, Senior Cost Accountant B.K. Mahadani and Junior Division Assistant Shailendra Kumar Gupta has also been accused.
The action was taken after the Vigilance Department found guilty in an open investigation. The matter is related to irregularities in the allocation of plots under the Priyadarshini Yojana of Lucknow.
It is alleged that irregularities were made in the registration of plots by changing the allocation of plots under Priyadarshini Jankipuram scheme. Ambi Bisht was a property officer in LDA at the time of this irregularity.

Aparna Yadav, daughter of accused Ambi Bisht, is the wife of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s half -brother Prateek Yadav. Aparna Yadav is currently a member of BJP and Deputy Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission.
All the accused have been accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act and other sections. This FIR has been lodged after an open investigation.
