On Monday, the second day of the 43-day long Shat Gayatri Purashcharan Mahayagya going on at the foothills of Tirtharaj Pushkar, fire was lit at the Pradhan Kund from Arani Manthan. With this, the process of offering oblations under the direction of Yagyacharyas will start in all the Havan Kunds in Mahayagya from Tuesday. Before this, the three forms of Mother Gayatri, the idols of Saptarishi and Adi Shankaracharya were duly consecrated at the Mahayagya site.
Tilakraj Sharma (Kanpur) was the chief host in this life consecration ceremony organized in the presence of Swami Prakhar Ji Maharaj, the main architect of Mahayagya and Mahamandaleshwar Vishokanand Ji Maharaj of Mahanirvani Akhara. During this, about 200 host couples invited the Gods and Goddesses on the Yagya altar amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras.
Here, from Monday, about 2000 Vipra Batukas started the ritual of chanting the mantra of Mother Gayatri in the six newly built schools at the Yagya site. These seekers will chant more than 60 lakh Gayatri Mantras every day.
Chief spokesperson of Shat Gayatri Purashcharan Mahayagya Organizing Committee, Ashok Joshi, said that this Mahayagya is being organized in the presence of Swami Prakhar Ji Maharaj, the chief disciple of Karpatri Ji Maharaj, with the wish of end of terrorism, world peace and human welfare. This sequence of sacrifices and chanting of mantras in Mahayagya will continue till Purnahuti on 19th April.
He told that the arrival of devotees has started to have darshan of Mahayagya and arrangements have also been made for Bhandara for the devotees. It is noteworthy that this 43-day long Shat Gayatri Purashcharan Mahayagya was started on Sunday with a grand Kalash and procession. In this Mahayagya organized under the joint aegis of Prakhar Paropkar Mission Trust and Vipra Foundation, a resolution has been taken to chant a total of 27 crore Gayatri Mantras.
