Punjab Social Security and Women and Child Development Department has issued a notification for the recruitment of Anganwadi Workers. According to the notification, a total of 6,116 vacant posts will be filled. To apply for these posts, candidates have to visit the official website sswcd.punjab.gov.in. Punjab Government has announced a big recruitment drive for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. Social Security and Women and Child Development Department has issued a notification for recruitment to a total of 6,116 posts. Of these, 1,316 posts are reserved for Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and 4,794 for Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs). These posts are especially for women and will be filled at Anganwadi centers in different districts of Punjab.

The application process for this recruitment has started from November 19, 2025. Interested female candidates can apply online by visiting the official website sswcd.punjab.gov.in by December 10, 2025. To apply, follow the steps given below.

Candidates must be female. It is necessary to have passed Punjabi language till 10th class. Eligibility criteria are different for different posts. If you have higher education, like 12th, Graduation, B.Ed., or ETT, then it will give you advantage in the merit list, because the selection will be completely based on merit.

How will the selection be done? The most special thing about this recruitment is that there will be no written examination, and the entire selection will be based on merit only. While making the merit list, 30% weightage will be given to 10+2 pass, 30% weightage to Graduation, 30% weightage to B.Ed. Or 10% weightage will be added to ETT and 30% weightage to performance in interview. By adding all these, the final merit list will be prepared. After selection, candidates will be informed about the counseling or interview dates through email, call or website.
