Jodhpur. There is good news for the youth and farmers across the state. Now it will be possible to become a drone pilot at low cost. In fact, Jodhpur Agricultural University is the only one among the universities of the state providing recognized drone training, which has received approval of 50% grant amount from the state government. It is noteworthy that the only institute recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India for drone pilot training in the state is Agricultural University, Jodhpur. And now after getting the grant from the state government, it has become the first center to provide subsidized training. Vice Chancellor of Agricultural University, Prof. Dr. VS Jaitawat says that the demand for drones is continuously increasing in the agricultural sector and there is a great need for skilled pilots. In such a situation, farmers who are unable to pay due to the expensive fees for drone pilot training will now be able to easily become skilled drone pilots. Due to getting DGCA recognition, 50% or maximum grant of Rs. 35000 will be given by the state government only to those taking training from Agricultural University, Jodhpur. This will create a separate identity and reputation of the university in the country and state.
10% additional discount will be given by the university
Dr. Pradeep Pagaria, coordinator of the ongoing Drone Pilot Training Project at the Farmer Skill Development Center of the University, informed that the fee for the trainees is Rs 50,000 for 7 days of training and Rs 65,000 for 15 days. GST is additional in this. Now 50% or maximum grant of ₹ 35000 will be given by the state government. Additionally, as an incentive, the University will also provide an additional 10% discount. Dr. Pagaria said that till now training of 5 batches has been successfully completed in the university. Admission is on a “first come, first served” basis. Farmers are given training at the center by skilled pilots of DGCA.

The applicant will have to apply online through Raj Kisan Sathi Portal or Raj Kisan Suvidha App using his Jan Aadhar number.
-At the time of applying, a copy of the mark sheet of class 10th or equivalent examination will have to be uploaded. Age should be 18 to 65 years.
-Offline applications will be accepted till the start of online module. The process for such applications will also be adopted offline and training will be provided to the applicants.
-A maximum of 10 trainees in each district will be given grant for drone training.
