Jaipur. On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, celebration of Rajasthan Day has been started on the occasion of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada since last year. In the same sequence, this year also the state government will organize various programs across the state from March 14 to March 19 to commemorate Rajasthan Day on March 19. In this series, state level ‘Vikas Rajasthan Run 2026’ will be organized in Jaipur on March 15, which will be flagged off by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Besides, Vikas Rajasthan Run will also be organized in all the districts of the state.
Neeraj K, Government Secretary, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Thursday regarding the preparations for the successful organization of Vikas Rajasthan Run. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Pawan. In the meeting, he instructed the officials of the concerned departments to complete the necessary preparations in a timely manner for the successful organization of the program. He said that effective implementation of the responsibilities assigned to all the departments should be ensured, so that the event can be organized well, safely and successfully. He directed that maximum participation of the general public, youth and students should be ensured in the Vikas Rajasthan Run, so that this event can be organized as a big public festival with public participation. In the meeting, the program outline, arrangements and responsibilities of various departments were discussed in detail and necessary guidelines were provided.
He told that this run will start from in front of Amar Jawan Jyoti (Janpath) and take a full circle of Sawai Mansingh Stadium, from Tonk Road via Rambagh Circle, from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Circle and again to Amar Jawan Jyoti. A target has been set for participation of about 50 thousand youth in this. In the programme, students from universities, colleges and schools along with youth from voluntary organizations like NSS, NCC, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Hindustan Scouts and Guides and NYKS participated. Members of, as well as youth and players from government and non-government organizations will be included.
Officers and representatives of school education, technical education, tourism, NCC, higher education and related departments were present in the meeting.
