Lucknow. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party strongly over the GST reform implemented from 22 September across the country. He has alleged that the BJP government first looted the public for years and is now cheating people in the name of GST reform. During the press conference in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav said that after 9 years the government realized that food and drinks had become expensive. During this time, how much money the government collected, will it be compensated?
He said that on the one hand the government claims reduction in taxes and on the other hand it is charging heavy tax. Akhilesh alleged that the BJP government’s decisions are promoting profiteering, which will not stop making profits and inflation will not reduce.
Describing reducing GST as a deception of the public, he said that these are all showy steps, which will not give any relief to the public.
Preparations for 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh have intensified. On Thursday, several prominent leaders of Bahujan Samaj Party and Apna Dal (S) joined SP membership. Among them are Amar Singh Chaudhary.
SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that the party will get new strength with his arrival. He said that everyone will struggle together for rights, respect and social justice.
Referring to the farmers, the SP president said that the farmers are not getting money according to their rights. After our government comes, money will be given according to the circle rate.
Targeting the BJP government, he said that all the records of corruption have been broken. There is commissioning in every department. The public has been plagued by the state government and there will be a change in the 2027 assembly elections.
