Gandhinagar. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on the occasion of ‘National Forest Martyr’s Day’ on Thursday remembered the brave forest employees who sacrificed their lives in the protection of forest areas and protecting wildlife. He paid tribute to the martyred forest workers at the first ‘forest monument’ of the state in Gandhinagar. Every time every time National Forest Martyr’s Day is celebrated on 11 September, so that the martyrdom of forest guards, regional forest officials and forest department’s front row personnel should be honored, who sacrificed their lives while performing duty. In this sequence, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached the first ‘Forestry Memorial’ of the state built at the Forest Awareness Center located in Sector 30 of Gandhinagar on Thursday. Bhupendra Patel expressed gratitude to the 9 martyred forest workers who sacrificed their lives in the state of Gujarat and paid tribute to them.
On this occasion, the state’s tourism, forest and environment minister Mulubhai Bera while talking to the media said that a ‘martyr memorial’ has been made for forest workers who have lost their lives in the protection of forest areas and protect wildlife. On Thursday, the Chief Minister and ministers paid homage to the martyred forest workers.
In addition, the Chief Minister’s Office of Gujarat wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “The integral parts of nature are important for the existence of all living beings. The day is to express gratitude to the forest martyrs who sacrificed their lives while protecting the natural wealth and entire wildlife of forest areas.”
The post further stated, “The state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is committed to the conservation and development of forest areas and the memory of the courage, valor and sacrifice of forest workers has been kept alive by constructing a ‘forestry monument’. Let us appreciate the contribution and sacrifice of brave forest workers who protect all forests and wildlife and become more aware and sensitive to the conservation of this endless gifts.
