Gandhinagar, January 18 (). Amid preparations for India’s strong presence at the upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF), a high-level delegation of the Gujarat government led by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi is set to mark its presence at the five-day summit.
The WEF annual meeting is going to be held in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland from 19 to 23 January.
The 56th edition of the WEF will see global leaders, senior diplomats, industry experts, think tanks and social entrepreneurs converge in Davos to deliberate and find practical solutions to global issues including climate change.
At the World Economic Forum 2026, Deputy Chief Minister Sanghvi will hold over 50 high-level meetings with global leaders and investors from key sectors including advanced manufacturing, textiles, semiconductors, emerging technologies, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, food processing, chemicals, shipping and logistics, electronics and aerospace.
The proposed meetings include leading global companies such as A.P. Moller Maersk, Engie, EDF, Johnson Controls, Sumitomo Group, Linde, SealsQ, Tillman Global and others.
Through these meetings, the Deputy Chief Minister will strive to strengthen the industrial ecosystem of the state, promote technology and innovation partnerships, attract global investments and establish long-term international institutional relationships.
A government statement said the state government is strongly committed to accelerating industrial growth, promoting innovation-led growth, attracting transformational investments and building a resilient and future-ready economy.
The statement further said that Gujarat’s presence at the World Economic Forum 2026 is not only participation but also a symbol of leadership in setting the direction of global development.
