Kaithal. Krishna Bedi, a minister in the Haryana government, appreciated the reforms made by the central government in the GST slab. He said that the recent reforms made in GST will prove to be great relief for both the common consumers and the industry. Krishna Bedi said that the GST Council was formed under the leadership of the Prime Minister. The demand to improve this major tax reforms implemented after intensive deliberations continued to rise from time to time. In this sequence, the Prime Minister announced it from the Red Fort on August 15 this year and it was implemented in just one month.
Krishna Bedi has not taken the decision to improve GST under any pressure. This decision has been taken in view of the interest of the general public. The government has imposed more tax on the things that are not in the interest of the general public.
If the Congress could not implement GST, she used to put VAT. There was a lack of transparency in VAT. The Congress supports the GST Council meeting, but starts protesting after exiting.
The minister of the Haryana government said that now only two slabs of GST are 5 percent and 18 percent. Consumers will get direct benefit of this change. Its will be inexpensive like cars, two-wheelers, fridge, AC and electronics. The cost of building a house will be reduced due to reduced tax on cement and construction materials.
At the same time, Ayurvedic and everyday consumption items will be in the reach of common people. This improvement is also important for business and industry.
