Chandigarh Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the Haryana government is continuously working to modernize health facilities in the state, promote voluntary blood donation and ensure the quality of blood bank services. He said that the government is also ensuring that the highest standard of blood transfusion services in Haryana can be provided to each citizen on time.

The Chief Minister was addressing the opening ceremony of the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immuno Hemetology (ISBTI), the 50th annual National Conference, ‘Golden Jubilee Transcon 2025’ held in Gurugram on Friday. Cooperative, Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, Pataudi MLA Bimala Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma were also present in the program.

Haryana remains its own distinct identity in the field of voluntary blood donation

Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that there are currently 149 blood centers working in Haryana through which a target has been set to collect 3 lakh 30 thousand units of blood this year. He informed that under the prescribed targets, 2 lakh 22 thousand 433 units of blood have been collected so far. The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the land of soldiers, farmers and youth. It is a matter of pride for us that the state has achieved the position today, where Haryana is a leader in the country as an industrial identity on the one hand, on the other hand, Haryana is now making its own identity in the field of voluntary blood donation.

Haryana state recorded major reforms in health sector in the last 11 years

The Chief Minister said that the level of health services in Haryana is continuously getting better. In the last 11 years, the state has recorded major improvements in the health sector. He told that where there used to be a hospital of 30 beds earlier, now 100 bed facilities are available. Similarly, 100 -bed hospitals have been expanded up to 400 beds to 200 beds and 200 -bed hospitals.

The Chief Minister said that the government is working seriously on the ground so that every citizen of the state can get quality health services. He said that in the year 2014, where only 700 doctors were ready in Haryana every year, today this number has increased to 2600 per year. The government aims to increase this number to 3400 seats per year by 2029. For this, medical colleges are being established in every district of the state, so that the youth get better opportunities and the health services of the state get new heights.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Fit India-India-India” slogan, the Chief Minister said that today Haryana is moving forward with this resolution. He said that if the health of the citizens is better then the development pace of the state will also be fast.

Important role in society of both IH and blood bank

The Chief Minister said that according to the demand of the time, we should encourage research such as next generation blood testing, artificial intelligence based blood matching and artificial blood. He suggested that mobile apps and web portals should be developed under Digital Health Mission to track blood donation and transfusion. Also, it is necessary to provide high quality training to technicians and doctors associated with IH and blood transfusion.

The Chief Minister said that IH and blood banks are the backbone of the health sector. The lives of millions of people can be saved through them. If the government, health organizations and society get collective support, then in the coming time this area can become more secure, advanced and effective. He said that regular blood donation, public awareness and scientific research are important steps in this direction, which will provide new heights to Haryana in the fields of blood donation and transfusion services.

Haryana government is fully committed to environmental protection under Go Green initiative

Referring to Transcon’s Go Green initiative, the Chief Minister said that the Haryana government is fully committed to environmental protection. In this direction, a ‘one tree mother’s name’ campaign is being launched in the state, which was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day last year. The aim of this campaign is to make every corner of Haryana green. He informed that 1 crore 87 lakh saplings were planted in the first phase of this campaign, while in the second phase, a target has been set to plant 90 lakh saplings. Apart from this, 1 crore 20 lakh saplings will be planted in the state under other schemes this year. In this way, a target has been set to plant 2 crore 10 lakh saplings in the state. The Chief Minister said that since October 2014, about 18 crore saplings have been planted in the state, which is a symbol of Haryana’s seriousness and resolution towards environmental protection. The Chief Minister also honored the doctors who have done excellent work in the health sector on the occasion.
