In the report received after investigation, it was found that the sports gradation certificates of a total of 143 players from different districts of the state are suspicious, invalid and in some cases completely fake. Taking strict action against fake sports gradation certificates in the state, the Sports Department of Haryana Government has issued instructions to cancel the certificates of 143 players. The investigation report has found many certificates to be fake, invalid and issued by unrecognized associations. Clouds of crisis may also loom over the services of players who got government jobs on the basis of fake certificates. An important news has come out for the players of Haryana state. The Sports Department of Haryana Government has become strict regarding fake sports gradation certificates. In the investigation report sent to the Haryana Government, the sports gradation certificates of 143 players from across the state have been declared suspicious, invalid and in many cases completely fake. These include de-gradation certificates of 6 players from Kaithal which will be canceled soon. According to Brahmachari Kuldeep Shatranj, General Secretary of Chess Asia Continent from the Paris International Olympics, the certificates of many players have neither been issued by any recognized state sports association nor were they found to be affiliated with the National Sports Federation or the Indian Olympic Association.
Some sports associations issued sports certificates to players without recognition, which is against the rules. Those players who have got government jobs on the basis of these fake sports gradation certificates, their government jobs may also be in danger now. The Sports Department of Haryana Government has become completely strict regarding fake sports gradation certificates in the state. In the investigation conducted by the Sports Department, sports gradation certificates of 143 players from across the state have been found to be suspicious, invalid and in many cases completely fake.
According to the investigation report, many of the certificates were issued by sports associations that were not recognized at the state or national level at that time. These certificates were neither found to be associated with any recognized state sports association nor with the National Sports Federation or the Indian Olympic Association. The Sports Department of Haryana Government prepared a list of sports certificates of the players and got them verified from the concerned federations. During verification, a large number of such certificates came to light on which comments like fake, invalid and not relevant were recorded. Most irregularities have been found in the sports of Taekwondo, Volleyball, Throwball and Circle Kabaddi.
The respective certificates were issued by sports organizations/associations which were neither recognized as State Sports Associations nor affiliated with the National Sports Federation or the Indian Olympic Association during the period of issue of the certificates. The Sports Department prepared a list of certificates and got it verified from the concerned sports associations, in which maximum irregularities were found in the sports of Taekwondo, Volleyball, Throwball, Circle Kabaddi and Athletics.
Brahmachari Kuldeep Shatranj, General Secretary of Chess Asia Continent from Paris International Olympics, said that the certificates of many players in Taekwondo were found not to be valid as they were not issued from the recognized state association. At the same time, many certificates in athletics have been directly declared fake. On the basis of investigation, show cause/information letters have been issued by the department to the concerned players. A letter has been issued regarding cancellation of sports gradation certificates of six players of Kaithal district. The associations by which these certificates were issued were not recognized at that time.
For this reason, instructions have been given to cancel 143 certificates at the headquarters level in the entire state. Instructions have been issued by the Haryana Government at the headquarters level to cancel all 143 certificates and further legal process is being considered. Haryana Government has clarified that necessary action can be taken as per rules in the cases of players who have got appointment in government service on the basis of these fake or invalid sports gradation certificates. Instructions have been issued to cancel a total of 143 sports gradation certificates at the state level and further legal and departmental action is under process.
