transgender . A cloudburst in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh has caused severe havoc. It is being told that due to cloudburst, many drains were flooded, in which many vehicles were washed away and the house and groons were destroyed. In fact, there was a terrible flood in Thach village of Nichar subdivision of Kinnaur district at around 12:10 pm. The water of three drains came on the rise, causing heavy damage to the farm-groove and residential properties.
Local people said that when the flood water came to the village, the villagers in the houses ran away from their homes due to panic and they went to the forest and took refuge.
According to the information, two vehicles have been washed away in the grip of floods. In addition, parts of houses and a cattle shed in Mastan village were swept away in floods. Many gardens were destroyed, while the houses of Ranveer and three other villagers are on the verge of collapse.
In addition, the landslide near Edward School in the state capital Shimla disrupted traffic and had to close the city’s important circular road.
Meanwhile, a three -storey house collapsed in Karwathi area of Kumasaran, which shows the widespread impact of heavy rains across the state.
So far, 424 people have lost their lives in Himachal Pradesh in monsoon related disasters, while losses are increasing daily across the state.
Earlier this week, four people died and six went missing due to floods and landslides in various parts of the state on 17 September. Also, over 650 roads, including three national highways, are still blocked. In addition, access to essential services such as electricity and drinking water has been disrupted.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has declared Himachal Pradesh as a disaster affected state and has estimated the total loss to be more than Rs 20,000 crore in the last three years. The state has appealed to the central government for immediate financial assistance and comprehensive relief support.
A few days ago, on 16 September, another cloudburst in Dharampur in Mandi district caused heavy havoc. Many HRTC buses and private vehicles were swept away, and the house-shops drowned in the water. Local people described it as worse than the 2015 floods, as Son Nala came in spate and immersed the huge areas in water.
