Jaipur. On the auspicious occasion of 77th Republic Day, a grand and inspirational program full of cow service, patriotism, environmental protection and cultural consciousness was organized at Golok Dham (Surbhi Path) located at Hingonia Cow Rehabilitation Center, Jaipur under the auspices of Shri Krishna Gau Seva Sanstha. On this occasion, the inauguration of new cow sheds (5 enclosures) built by Shri Krishna Gau Seva Sanstha Chairman Omprakash Modi and Anant Shesh Prabhu (Vice President, Gupta Vrindavan Dham) for the benefit of cows was done in a devotional atmosphere. Adequate arrangements have been made for the safe residence and facilities of about 1000 cow mothers in these enclosures. Cow puja was duly performed on the inauguration occasion. On this auspicious occasion, 56 bhog, green fodder and jaggery were offered to the mother cow by the Sanstha family and the visiting dignitaries along with their families. Under the program, 51 saplings were planted with the message of environmental protection, due to which the combined message of nature conservation and cow service reached the society. The main attraction of the program was Tula Daan (weighed money) for Mother Cow, in which all the devotees and guests present provided Tula Daan and supported the cause of cow service.
There was remarkable participation of the entire Hindu community of Jaipur city, especially the Agrawal community, in this event. Rotary Club, Shakambhari Sevdar family, many distinguished citizens of the city along with the District Governor of Rotary District also had a dignified presence in the program. A historical feature of the program was that a special event was organized to commemorate the completion of 150 years of “Vande Mataram”.
