The United Nations Humanitarian Office has warned that a worrying situation persists in the city of Dilling, located in Sudan’s South Kordofan province. The routes to reach the city are still cut off and the crisis there is deepening due to the long siege. UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, while briefing journalists in New York, said that humanitarian aid operations are currently being carried out only on a limited scale. A very small number of non-governmental organizations are carrying on with their work under difficult circumstances. According to UN partner organizations, last year, half the population of the city of Dilling was forced to flee the city.
