New Delhi. The name of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on the top in the list of the world’s most popular leaders. This popularity of PM Modi is because of his vision and leadership regarding India. The latest example of this is clearly evident from a report by Khaleej Times of United Arab Emirates (UAE). All the countries of the world are witness to the speed with which India is progressing under the leadership of PM Modi. According to a report by UAE’s Khaleej Times, India has seen economic and social change in the last decade. This change in India has made the country one of the most influential emerging powers of the 21st century. India’s growth story has not been limited to just a few metropolitan cities or regions, but has spread across many states. Gujarat continues to strengthen its role as an industrial and logistics hub by leveraging investments in ports, manufacturing clusters and renewable energy.
The report mentions that Tamil Nadu has achieved heights in automobile manufacturing, electronics and advanced industrial production. Along with this, Tamil Nadu has also invested in skilling and exports. According to the report, Mumbai is at the forefront of the country’s growth with modernization of financial services infrastructure and innovation-driven enterprise.
It has been said in the report that the states of the country which were once considered economically backward, are also moving forward on the path of development. The biggest example of this is from Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has invested heavily in expressways, industrial zones and urban infrastructure, which has improved connectivity between cities and opened up new avenues for investment.
Khaleej Times said that Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have focused on agriculture-related industries, clean energy and logistics. Furthermore, Odisha has emerged as a major hub for metals, minerals and manufacturing. This is supported by improved ease of doing business.
UAE media reports further said that among the southern states, Karnataka, especially Bengaluru, has moved beyond IT services to strengthen its global identity as a hub of technology and innovation in startup research and new technologies. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have strengthened their capabilities in pharmaceuticals, food processing and digital services. Due to this, exports have increased and employment has helped.
The report also highlighted that one of the biggest changes in the last decade has been India’s investment in institutional and social infrastructure. Strong child welfare systems have strengthened human capital formation in states.
