Ahmedabad, January 11 (). Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference was organized in Rajkot, Gujarat on Sunday. The conference was attended by many prominent personalities from India and abroad including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s development model, global leadership and international cooperation were discussed in detail during the conference.
In this program, Ukraine’s Ambassador to India Oleksandr Polishchuk said that he is becoming a part of this global forum for the third time. Praising Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, he said that this is a great example of how a regional leader reaches national leadership and is now playing an important role at the global level as well.
He said that Prime Minister Modi is also playing an active role in global efforts to establish peace, which also includes Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Ambassador further said that today Gujarat is known all over the world for its development journey. Prime Minister Modi has played an important role in shaping this development model and implementing it across the country. He said that the goal of ‘Develop India 2047’ is a strong step towards taking India to new heights in the global economy.
Ambassador Polishchuk said that during the historic visit between Prime Minister Modi and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in 2024, the resolve to take the relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership was reiterated. He said that Prime Minister Modi is one of the few leaders from the global south to visit Ukraine amid war.
He also expressed confidence that the establishment of a lasting and just peace in Ukraine will further strengthen the relations between India and Ukraine, in which the state of Gujarat will also play an important role. He expressed hope for India’s continued support to international peace efforts.
In this conference, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India Jacqueline Mukangira also addressed the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference organized for Kutch and Saurashtra region. Thanking the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he said that it is a matter of pride for him to invite Rwanda as a partner country.
He said that Prime Minister Modi had visited Rwanda in July 2018, which was very special for the relations between the two countries. During this period six MoUs were signed and 200 cows were donated to needy families. He appreciated the leadership and generosity of Prime Minister Modi.
The High Commissioner of Rwanda said that President Paul Kagame has visited India five times so far and had also participated in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in 2017. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and President Paul Kagame, relations between India and Rwanda have reached a strategic level.
He expressed confidence that platforms like Vibrant Gujarat will further strengthen new partnership opportunities, investments and cooperation between the two countries.
