Pune, January 23 (). Indigo flight going from Delhi to Pune has received a threat letter. The plane landed in Pune and then the passengers were evacuated safely. Indigo spokesperson has given this information.
It was told by Indigo that on January 22, information about security threat was received in Indigo flight 6E 2608 going from Delhi to Pune after landing. As per the protocol, we immediately informed the concerned authorities and cooperated fully as per standard operating procedure. All the passengers and crew of the flight got out safely. We are committed to ensuring the safety of our customers, crew, and aircraft.
Indigo flight received a threatening note. However, the plane landed safely at Pune airport and all the passengers deboarded safely. After this the aircraft was examined.
Let us tell you that earlier on Sunday, there was a stir due to a bomb threat in an Indigo Airlines plane. This case was related to Indigo flight number 6E-6650 going from Delhi to Bagdogra. Lucknow Commissionerate Police had issued an official statement giving information about this entire incident.
According to the police, information was received through Air Traffic Control (ATC) that there was a bomb threat on the plane during the flight. As soon as the information was received, following all the safety standards and prescribed protocols, an emergency landing of the concerned aircraft was made at Lucknow Airport. The plane landed safely at Lucknow airport at 9:17 am. After this the aircraft was parked in the isolation bay.
According to the police, during the preliminary investigation, a handwritten note on tissue paper was recovered from inside the plane, on which it was written, ‘Bomb on the plane.’ On the basis of this note, the security agencies took the investigation forward more seriously.
Police said that there were a total of 222 passengers and 8 infants on board the flight. Apart from this, there were 2 pilots and 5 crew members present in the plane. Giving priority to safety, all passengers and crew members were evacuated from the aircraft.
However, security officials said that nothing suspicious was found in the plane. Soon the person giving false information will be arrested.
