The main accused of Jhunjhunu’s famous Danish Bavaria murder case, on whom the police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000, was arrested in the guise of a beggar in front of Hanumanji temple in Khole, Jaipur.
Was hidden in half shaved head and torn clothes
SP Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay said that to escape from the police, the vicious criminal Deepak Malsariya had changed his appearance in a filmy style. He had shaved half the hair on his head and, wearing tattered clothes, had joined the group of beggars. During his absconding, he was living on bread and a few coins from devotees outside the temples of Jaipur, Delhi and Rishikesh.
Fear of new law, even loved ones turned away
Police investigation revealed that the accused had sought help from many of his close friends and friends during his escape. But no one gave him shelter or financial help due to fear of tough new criminal laws. When the money ran out, he became so helpless that he had to pick up a bowl to fill his stomach. He was passing his day by asking for money from the people passing by on the way to the temple.
Two days of recce and the keen eye of constable Praveen, Jhunjhunu police had received information through an informer that a rewarded criminal was living as a beggar outside the temple of Jaipur. On the specific information of Constable Praveen Kumar, the team conducted recce in the temple premises in ordinary clothes for two days. After a thorough investigation among dozens of beggars, when the team was sure that this dirty looking man was Deepak Malsaria, they surrounded him and arrested him.

Deepak Malsariya and his associates, who came in three vehicles, had stopped Danish alias Naresh’s Scorpio by hitting it with camper vehicles.
