Hyderabad. Kalavakuntla Kavitha, founder and president of Telangana Jagruti, has criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s decision to name a road in Hyderabad as ‘Donald Trump Avenue’. Kavitha wrote on Kavita said that no company will invest in Hyderabad after seeing the name of the board or road. He said, “Naming a major road after Trump is an insult to our own people. Moreover, global companies will invest in Hyderabad for talent, infrastructure and profits and not for the political pandering done on road signboards. If anything can be achieved from this, it is visa approval for your family members. This is not diplomacy but an attempt to grab cheap international headlines at the cost of one’s identity and self-respect.”
It is noteworthy that Revanth Reddy government in Telangana is going to unveil ‘Donald Trump Avenue’ in Hyderabad next week. A major road near the US Consulate in Cyberabad has been proposed to be named after US President Donald Trump. Earlier in December 2025, Revanth Reddy had proposed naming the road after the US President.
The founder of Telangana Jagruti, speaking at an event a day earlier on Wednesday, said that if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has any integrity, he should immediately start work in Tummidi Hatti. The work should be started as per the agreement of 148 meters. They are making excuses about the Chief Minister of Maharashtra only because they have no intention of making Tummidi Hatti.
