Kota/Udaipur. A wonderful confluence of reverence, devotion and spiritual joy was seen in Kota, the educational and industrial center of Rajasthan. Shri Narmadeshwar Mahadev Shivling was duly established in a grand ceremony organized by Shri Mangalmay Miraculous Dham Hanuman Seva Samiti at the Commerce College Ground. On this historic and auspicious occasion, a glimpse of the great eternal traditions of the Mewar dynasty was also seen. In this religious ritual, 77th Shri Ekling Diwan of Mewar, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar participated as the chief host. Shri Narmadeshwar Mahadev Shivalinga was installed in the sanctum sanctorum by his lotus feet amid Vedic chanting and complete rituals. During this, the entire campus echoed with the chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ and ‘Jai Eklingnath’. Only devotion removes the darkness of ignorance: Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh
While addressing the huge crowd and Shiva devotees present after the foundation ceremony, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar gave the message of spirituality. He said:
“When Lord Ashutosh Shiva is pleased with the true devotion of his devotee, then only he bestows divine power on him. This power destroys the darkness of ignorance and paves the way for the devotee to attain the desired.”
Mentioned about 1500 years long ‘Diwan tradition’
In his address, he highlighted the unbreakable relationship between Mewar and Lord Shiva and said that Mahadev has always had special blessings on Mewar. ‘Shri Ekalinga Swaroop’ of Lord Shiva is the real king (ruler) of Mewar.
He told that the Maharanas of Mewar never considered themselves kings, but considered themselves servants and trustees of Lord Shri Eklingnath ji. For the last 1500 years, the dynasty of Mewar has been working dedicatedly for the preservation of the heritage, ancient culture and eternal traditions of the state in the form of ‘Ekling Diwan’.

At the conclusion of the function, he congratulated the organizing committee and all the people of Kota for this grand religious festival. Also, he prayed to Shri Narmadeshwar Mahadev for happiness, prosperity, peace and continuous progress in Kota region.
