After the violence in Leh, the administration has imposed curfew for the last 2 days. On 24 September, the youth suddenly created a ruckus due to Sonam Wangchuk being on hunger strike for 15 days. Actually, the protesters and Wangchuk are demanding full state status to Ladakh. After the violence on Wednesday, the administration implemented Section 163 of BNS. There is still curfew here after the first day. Police have so far detained 50 people on charges of violence. Let’s know what is the latest situation here.

About 80 people were injured in the violence on Wednesday and 4 people died. At the same time, the police have arrested 50 people in this case so far. Dozens of people started violent protests demanding state status. Many houses, vehicles and public properties were damaged. The miscreants also set the BJP office on fire.

Negotiations will be held on 27-28 September

A team from the Ministry of Home Affairs reached Ladakh where violence took place and took stock of the situation. Currently the situation is stable. Schools have been closed for the next 2 days. The team has called Representatives and local MPs of Leh’s highest institution and Kargil Democratic Alliance Organization. He will have an important meeting with central officials on September 27 and 28 here. The demands and interests of the local people will be discussed with the leaders.

Section 163 applied

Section 163 of BNS has been implemented in the Union Territory, due to which curfew, internet service, school-colleges have been closed for the last two days. In addition, no procession or rally will be taken out without the permission of the District Magistrate. If this is done, action will be taken against everyone within the purview of law. There is also a ban on gathering of 5 people at a time.

School-college closed for next 2 days

To maintain peace and security system, the administration has closed all the schools and colleges in the union territory for the next 2 days. The District Magistrate of Leh has directed to issue this order from Friday. Schools, colleges, educational institutions and all Anganwadi centers of the area will also be closed.
